Vegas Two Times
An absolute riot of a song to open an album with and also the fifth and final single from that album, it reached number 23 when released on 01/04/02. Based on the band’s attempts to drive from Las Vegas to Los Angeles to record the Mama Told Me Not To Come video with Tom Jones, it’s fast, heavy and a live favourite. The story goes that the first time they got lost and ended back in Vegas, hence “Now we’re leaving L A S Vegas Two Times”. They did eventually make the video shoot and somehow brought Rhys Ifans along!
