Written by Prince, this song was made famous by Sinead O’Connor and her haunting recording of it. Kelly covered the song for the NME’s 1Love album in aid of the WarChild charity. Released in 2002 as the fifth track on the album, this sadly isn’t a great recording. It’s very slow, the background organ is annoying, and Kelly’s voice sounds fuzzy and very strained. But, it’s all in aid of charity so maybe it shouldn’t be slated too much.
