Maybe Tomorrow
Released as a single in July ’03 this song reached number three in the chart, having originally been released as track two on You Gotta Go There To Come Back. Premiered acoustically on Cable TV in October 2002, the was a great deal of disappointment with the final song, with many saying it was too fast and over produced. There is some evidence that the band agree, as the live version (which is far superior to the album recording) is slightly slower with several layers or backing vocals and other effects removed. With a nod to electronica, repeated listens suggest it “borrows” the nagging riff from Summer Breeze by the Isley Brothers.
