Give Me A Sign
Written sometime prior to late 1992 during the Blind Faith days, this track appears on a Blind Faith demo tape discovered in early 2005. Give Me A Sign is a real rocker. It’s all set over a simple repeating two-chord structure, similar to Superman with some massive guitar solos, probably played by Simon. It seems to be a song about religion although some of the lyrics may be wrong as the recording is not the greatest quality. There is a slight Oasis feel to it, with a big “wall of noise” with guitar riffs over the top. There’s a really prominent bass line too. Considering how early this was recorded it’s a surprisingly good song, especially the forth verse which has a fantastic melody.
