Better Than A Cure
Written in late 1992 or early 1993, this song was recorded at Winchester Studios in February 1993, during the period that the band was known as Tragic Love Company and performed as a four-piece with Simon Collier playing lead guitar. Appearing on a demo tape from Spring 1993, the track has a relatively fast beat, with a main guitar riff that is similar to Long Train Running by the Doobie Brothers. It also features some very fast and intricate guitar solos unlike those seen on other Stereophonics songs. It seems likely that these solos were played by Simon Collier, with Kelly playing the rhythm in the background.
