21/11/08 - New Blog From Javier

Alright?

As you know, we've been busy lately. Running up and down the UK and Ireland, doing signing sessions, TV shows, interviews, gigs, etc. All worth it as 'Decade In The Sun' came out and we rocketed into pole position number 2 on its first week! We're very
happy with the results so far. Thanks to those who came to the album launch and the signing sessions, and also everyone that got out there to get the album and been supporting the band for so many years. For those who haven't got it yet..... what are you waiting for?!

Now, with the promo finished, we are kicking into touring mode. Starting rehearsals next week and the first few gigs right after
that. Bristol is gonna be our first stop on Friday to start warming up for the arena tour which we'll kick off in Glasgow SECC on
December 2nd. After that is pretty much non-stop for us until December 20th, where we'll finish touring the UK at the O2 arena in
London. We're looking forward to the shows. It's gonna be a great catalogue of songs, back to back in one gig.

Early next year we're planning to take the 'Best Of' tour to Europe and America and eventually start recording the new studio album, to be released next year at some point.

And now, time to answer some of your questions.....

Who or what are your greatest influences in life?
You can absorb experiences from everyone and anything. Good and bad, they all shape and influence you one way or another. It's completely up to you. Personally, being born in one country, raised in another one and then migrating to a third one was quite defining. Travelling does that too. Opens up your mind to understand other cultures.

Who is the best cook out of you all, and what sort of food do you like to cook?
That'll be me actually!! It depends. What you fancy? Argentinean barbecue, a plantain lasagna, kick ass scrambled javito eggs,
venezuelan arepas and cachapas, crepes, passion fruit juice, fresh gnocchi, goats cheese and pear salad, oven roasted seabass,
mussels........ but is gonna cost ya!

To Jav: Do you understand every word if they talk all the time in English or do you wish for subtitles sometimes?
Who said they talk English??? If that's English, I'm Mother Theresa!!! A few drinks and everything turns more slurry...haha

What has been your most memorable achievement?
Climbing the Everest.

What's your favourite way to relax and chill out?
Be on a beach. Sit in the sand. Look at the sea.
