Another week goes by and we get closer to the release and first shows for 'Decade in the Sun'. Last weekend we did a couple of songs at the NFL pre-game show in Wembley Stadium. That place is massive! More TV shows will follow soon and interviews are coming left, right and center as we're trying to cover as many territories as possible. Also, we are going to do more promo before and around the release of the Best Of, before we kick off the UK tour in December. Apart from the gig at the Union Chapel (London) on the 10th, we added a date in Dublin for the 7th of November to play at The Academy so we'll see ya out there!
For tonight...... the recommendations to watch are: 'The Orphanage' and 'The Shining'. (A little bit of 'The Ring' or 'Saw' movies wouldn't be out of context).
Now, time for your questions.......
What is the most strange thing you have signed for a fan?
A dirty and muddy shoe, in a Canadian festival. The girl took it off for us to sign it, remaining barefoot for the rest of the night. Another one was signing a boob. Of course, there's nothing strange about boobs, I love them and who doesn't? but having to sign one while your mom is waiting by your side, as she came to see you play that night, is a bit weird..... hard day at the office!.... haha.
What was the last album you bought???
The 'Thank You' compilation by Stone Temple Pilots. It has some good live and studio footage. One of the best rhythm sections out there. There's nothing new out there that has caught my attention at the moment, but always looking......
Tell us something we don't know about you?
Thankfully, there are loads of things.... but I'll let some pass.....I wanted to be a zoologist when I was a kid. I was obsessed with animal documentaries. Also, stuffed a squirrel and a rabbit once at school.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want with you????
The right companion by my side, a passion fruit tree to make juice everyday (also called parchita or maracuya), and a 120ft. yatch to bail out if being stranded gets on my tits!
Hmm think it is Javi's turn now, Hows your project going? Some new songs coming up sooniez on your space?
It has been quite difficult to find some time for Capitan Melao, as the Pull The Pin tour lasted over 18 months. But now that I'm back in London for a while, I've been writing a lot lately. Don't really know if some of these songs will see the light under the Capitan Melao umbrella yet or where else, but I hope to get some more material out next year. Keep your eyes open!
