10/10/08 - New Blog from Rich
And those words do ring as true as a bell. Only seems like yesterday we stepped of the stage in Seattle to finish off the Pull The Pin tour and we are back in the saddle once more, kick-starting Decade In The Sun to life. We were on the promo trail last week with Kelly hotfooting around the country with the tag team of band-mates helping a hand in various cities. I made it down to Cardiff and Swansea to visit radio stations to rally their support and plug the album. Next week we've got the Al Murray show and we've got to learn a cover of a Queen track for that, should be a laugh! Then various radio and TV performances around the country before the tour in December. So like I said - no rest for the wicked!
And now for something completely different... We always get a load of questions thrown at us from various locations and we've decided to start a Q&A for you. So there will be a new thread on the message board where you can post questions for us to answer and we'll get the mods and admin to pick some for us every week and we'll post the answers here. So check back to see if your questions have been answered...
These are a few which have been picked for me this week....
What book have you got on the go at the moment?
Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsey. I'm hooked on the TV show and thought I'd get into the books, everyone usually says the books are better than the box adaptation.
What was the last good film you watched?
You Don't Mess With The Zohan. Javier recommended it while we were in America last month. I was jettlagged and rolling around on the bed in stitches at 4 in the morning in NY while watching it.
What's the most unusual gig you've ever played?
Probably the gig we did last year in Austria on top of the mountain, it was the coldest my hands have been ever. We all wanted to stop the gig after 2mins but none of us would stop first. So we carried on and froze our asses off.
Favourite website at the moment?
www.picturesofwalls.com - it's exactly what it says it is !
What's the most played song on your iPod this week?
To Build a Home by The Cinematic Orchestra. I stumbled upon this by accident around a month ago and can't stop listening to it. I'm very inspired by the piano at the moment.
Until next week,
Rich
