The first installment of the brand new WGA feature “DisCovered” showcases the talents of Karl Morgan & The Click. In this edition not only do you get to hear a cracking cover but also a sneak peak at Karl’s track “Come Around” due to be released as part of their debut album “Call Me Anytime But Now” early nextyear, and what better way to kick off the first one with a cover of the bands first single; Local Boy In The Photograph.

In 2008 Swansea Born Singer/Songwriter Karl Morgan entered the studio to record his debut album. After spending 2 years writing and gigging around the UK, Karl settled on 11 self penned tracks to record.
Still only 22 Karl has been influenced by some of the coolest bands from the UK and America. His sound is very Modern day “Maroon 5″ meets “Jellyfish/Kinks Power pop,” with a few surprises in the middle.
In 2008 Karl was invited by the Brit Awards and BMI to play the British Stage Midem Cannes, where with his band “The Click” he played tracks from this debut album. Due for release in October 2009.
In 2008/2009 Karl & band have also played the Indigo 02 Arena London, London Christmas light switch on, St Helens Rugby Ground, had a BBC documentary released alongside Duffy and most recently the CIA Cardiff, as well as many many more.
They have been tipped to breakthrough in 09 by London music critic Paul Cramer “The Hit Sheet” And have been featured along side KT Tunstall, Cerys Mathews & Reverend & The Makers on a hit cd.
In September 08, Karl released a preview 3track EP Kensal Road as a sneak peak at the highly awaited debut album, 2 tracks made BBC playlist straight away.
In July 2009, Karl & the band won Best Welsh Band at the Welsh Style Awards, an award that 12 months prior had been given to none other than Stereophonics themselves. With the new album around the corner, keep an ear out for Wales next big export.
